About Us...

Situated at the intersection of Route 100 and Route 11, the West River Coffee Barn stands at one of Londonderry’s main crossroads — the gateway to town from the east and the north.  The corner has always served the community: as an Inn, a gas station and with stores selling shoes and clothing.  We are proud to continue that tradition of service.

OUR CONNECTION TO THIS PLACE

Our family’s connection to Londonderry stretches back to the early 1960s. Like many families, we’ve spent decades making memories here — mostly skiing at Magic Mountain but also frequenting the other places that make this corner of Vermont special.

When the property that once housed the Shoe Barn sat vacant for years, we saw more than an empty lot. We saw an opportunity to create something beautiful at this corner. Thousands of cars pass through this intersection every day. Our hope is that some will stop, slow down, and connect to one another, to the makers and stories of our region, and to the beauty of southern Vermont.

We believe meaningful places do more than serve customers — they create connections.

THIS CORNER’S LONG STORY

This corner has played many roles over the years. The original Shoe Barn sign still stands on our property as a reminder that every generation leaves its mark on this place. The name West River Coffee Barn pays homage to that legacy and the importance of the river at our side. We think of the West River Coffee Barn as the next chapter in this place’s long history.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND INSIDE

Inside, you’ll find small-batch coffee, fresh pastries, Vermont-made goods, local artwork, and a welcoming space designed for gathering, conversation, and connection.

Community remains at the heart of everything we do. Through events, local partnerships, and the relationships we build every day, we hope the Coffee Barn continues to create connections – for our neighbors, our visitors, and everyone who loves this corner of Vermont.

A PLACE BUILT TOGETHER

The West River Coffee Barn was built by our family, but it has been shaped by the people who walk through our doors every day. Your suggestions, conversations, encouragement, and support have helped make this place what it is becoming.

Whether you’re stopping in for your daily morning coffee, a skier heading to the mountain, a family exploring Vermont, or a traveler passing through, we’re glad you found us.

Welcome to the West River Coffee Barn.
